From a PABX, a VoIP system gives you telephone extensions through a computer Local Area Network over ethernet cables, freeing up analogue telephone lines and reducing operating costs. For example, a remote employee can log into the telephone system while working from home and can make and receive calls on the same telephone number and extension as they would have in the office. Phone Roaming While out of the office, your staff can travel with their laptops and make and receive calls direct from the phone installed onto their computers. Softphone All PC's can have Softphone software installed. This software gives you information of who is on the phone before you transfer them through an intra-office phone system. This will also function with phones that are roaming remotely as well.
